In recent months, Associate Professor Michael Lawless was an invited guest speaker at two ophthalmic meetings in Asia.
He joined leading ophthalmologists from around the region at the Carl Zeiss Meditec Asian Leaders’ Meeting in Shanghai. This meeting focuses on the latest trends in cataract and laser refractive surgery. Recognised as a world authority on laser eye surgery and cataract surgery, A/Prof Lawless shared his expertise in the recent developments in these fields.
At Alcon’s Foresight Meeting held in Seoul, A/Prof Lawless covered a variety of cataract and refractive topics in his presentation, including the latest intraocular lens (IOL) technology – trifocal IOLs, SMILE® laser eye surgery and tear film optimisation to reduce dry eye after surgery.
