Welcome to National Diabetes Week – a good time to draw attention to the fact that people with diabetes have a higher risk of developing eye complications than the rest of the population. If left untreated, these complications can lead to vision loss and, possibly, blindness. If you have been diagnosed with diabetes, it’s important that you have your eyes examined by an eye care professional as soon as possible and on a regular basis thereafter.
