Dr Jason Cheng recently travelled to the Pacific Eye Institute in Fiji, as part of the annual RANZCO/Fred Hollows initiative to train local ophthalmologists.
The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology (RANZCO) facilitates annual teaching visits to Pacific Eye Institute (PEI). Fellows deliver a one-week teaching program aimed at building the capacity of the PEI trainees in special areas of interest relevant to the PEI curriculum, thus contributing to PEI’s capacity to train eye doctors from across the Pacific.
