Want to know if you can have laser eye surgery?

Check eligibility

With access to the latest state-of-the-art laser technology (including LASIK and PRK), we can help the majority of people correct their vision – even if you’ve previously been told you don’t qualify.

Find out what your options are with our free assessment.

Step 1: FREE, NO-OBLIGATION initial assessment

  • Performed by one of our friendly optometrists or orthoptists
  • Includes key tests to determine whether you are in the treatable range

There is no obligation to book a consultation or to proceed with surgery

Step 2: Consultation with a surgeon*

  • Undergo further testing and measurement of your eyes
  • Have an in-depth discussion with one of our specialist eye surgeons, including:
    • Your visual goals and lifestyle needs
    • Surgical options, realistic visual outcome, potential risks and expected recovery period
    • Costs (interest-free payment plans are available)

Step 3. Laser eye surgery

  • Plan to be in the laser suite for around 2 hours (the treatment itself takes only 20 minutes)

  • Surgical consultations attract a fee – a Medicare rebate is available with a referral letter from a GP or optometrist. Please note surgery cannot proceed without a surgical consultation first.

We are dedicated to research

As a patient-focused company, Vision Eye Institute aims to deliver the best possible clinical outcomes. To achieve this, our practice must continue to evaluate and innovate. Vision Eye Institute’s doctors have created a culture that emphasises rigorous clinical review.

Through regular, methodical and comprehensive review of all facets of clinical and surgical practice, our doctors can readily benchmark themselves against best-practice outcomes.

The demand for our doctors to share their results and experiences at scientific conferences, both locally and overseas, is a testament to our ability to deliver a consistently high standard of patient care and clinical outcomes.

Due to the size of our organisation, we are able to support our doctors with a dedicated research team. This team is responsible for translating the data into peer-reviewed research articles and extending the group’s research interests.
