Dr Doug Roydhouse has been practising ophthalmology for over 30 years. He has considerable experience and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a range of ophthalmic conditions, including retinal diseases, cataracts and glaucoma. Dr Roydhouse now concentrates his practice on consulting services for patients with general eye conditions.
Dr Roydhouse has many interests outside of his busy work schedule. He has a passion for good food and wine and has participated at a week-long cooking school in Perigord, France. He also loves playing music, including the bass, rhythm and lead guitar, and brass instruments such as the trombone. Some of his other interests include fly fishing, and he always enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Dr Roydhouse has been involved in researching vitrectomy techniques and giant pigment epithelial tears.
