About Dr John McKenzie

Dr John McKenzie is a highly respected cataract and ophthalmic surgeon with special interests in ocular oncology and children’s eye health. He is skilled in the treatment of retinal conditions, including diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration and retinal vein occlusion, using intravitreal (eye) injections.

Alongside his private practice, Dr McKenzie holds several public appointments. He is the Deputy Director of Ophthalmology at The Royal Children’s Hospital, Head of Ophthalmology at Western Health and Head of Oncology at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. He is also a Professor of Ophthalmology.
