Dr Michael Wei is a highly experienced ophthalmologist who specialises in retinal and macular disorders. He has extensive experience in the management of difficult and complex vitreoretinal conditions, and in all forms of retinal laser treatment and intravitreal injections.

Dr Wei is also a skilled cataract surgeon, performing complex cataract surgery and utilising the latest surgical techniques.

He is fluent in Mandarin and Hokkien/Taiwanese dialect.

Community involvement & charitable work

As a volunteer ophthalmologist, Dr Wei helped conduct an eye surgery program at the Wachet Jivitadana Sangha Hospital in Mandalay, Myanmar.

Dr Wei also organised and led a team of 15 people on a medical mission in rural Thailand. On this trip, the team worked with local doctors and pharmacists to provide free primary health care and medications to the local community.
