Commencing 23 February, Dr Christolyn Raj will run a fortnightly, full-day children’s eye health clinic at Vision Eye Institute Camberwell.

Dr Raj is a Melbourne-trained ophthalmologist who specialises in paediatric ophthalmology (children’s eye health). Dr Raj holds a consultant position at The Royal Children’s Hospital where she runs a paediatric clinic and surgery.

Alongside her physician colleagues, she has helped set up a branch of the Teddy Bear Hospital – The Teddy Bear ‘Eye’ Hospital, as part of the annual Good Friday Appeal. The Teddy Bear Eye Hospital is a simulated hospital for children, which helps to motivate their interest in eye health while removing the stigma associated with visits to the ophthalmologist.

Dr Raj assesses and treats kids with conditions like:

  • Amblyopia (lazy eye)
  • Progressive short-sightedness
  • Strabismus (squint) – adults and children
  • Eyelid lumps and bumps

To book a consultation, contact the clinic on 03 9882 1347.
