With over 20 years of experience, Dr Tess Huynh is a highly respected cataract, corneal and refractive surgeon who is actively involved in research, teaching and charity work. Her significant expertise with cataracts allows her to perform routine cataract surgery, as well as more complex removals for patients with co-occurring eye conditions. Dr Huynh also specialises in collagen cross-linking for keratoconus, pterygium removal using autografting, and laser eye surgery (LASIK, SMILE® and ASLA) for vision correction.

Community involvement & charitable work

Dr Huynh has a passion for helping the less privileged and has been involved in charity work in Australia, Vietnam, Cambodia and the Philippines. She has been actively involved as a volunteer surgeon and fundraiser for the Vietnam Vision Project since 2006. Other organisations that Dr Huynh volunteers for include Australian Health and Humanitarian Aid/Rotary Club, Cambodia Vision, Sight For All and Christian Blind Mission International. She was also recognised for establishing a Retinopathy-of-Prematurity screening program at the National Paediatric Hospital in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Personal life

Outside of work, Dr Tess Huynh enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She keeps active caring for 3 boys and 2 dogs, and for leisure she enjoys reading, yoga, swimming, hiking and skiing.
