Optometry Australia CPD hours badge: quality assured for 1.5 hours

Get ready to expand your knowledge at our highly anticipated SHARED VISION webinars, which have returned for 2024!

Keep your finger on the pulse of innovation in ophthalmology and optometry as we explore the future of eye care technology. Delivered by thought leaders in their respective fields, webinar 1 offers a unique opportunity to examine this technology transformation and the associated challenges.

We are pleased to continue to offer complimentary registration to our national webinar series and thank our sponsors, CSL Seqirus and Vision Hospital Group, for their support.

Kickstarting your learning journey, Dr Alex Ioannidis will discuss AI applications in cataract care and the ethical dilemmas practitioners face when using these technologies. Next, Dr Lewis Levitz will explore the link between eye disease and radiation exposure incurred through imaging tools such as X-rays and computed tomography (CT) scans. Closing the session is A/Prof Michael Lawless, who will share his approach to AI innovations when managing cataract, corneal and refractive conditions.

Moderator Kristina Iacovangelo, a clinical optometrist and the Clinical Relationships Manager for Victoria, will use her optometric expertise to ask pertinent questions and facilitate a Q&A session between our ophthalmologists and the audience.

This is an incredible opportunity to gain practical knowledge and insight into cutting-edge technologies and treatment approaches that pave the way for more precise diagnosis, treatment and patient care.
