Twenty years on from the Sydney Olympics, Prof Gerard Sutton reflects on his experiences as Chief Ophthalmologist at the Games. From the eye injuries he treated to the people he met, Prof Sutton shares some memorable moments.

Prof Gerard Sutton is one of Australia’s leading ophthalmic surgeons and is internationally recognised as an expert in cataract surgery, laser vision correction and corneal transplantation. He is a highly experienced eye surgeon, having performed over 25,000 surgical procedures.

Prof Sutton practises at Vision Eye Institute Chatswood, Vision Eye Institute Bondi Junction and Vision Eye Institute Hurstville.
