Professor Rasik Vajpayee joins our Camberwell clinic

One of Vision Eye Institute’s highly respected and experienced ophthalmologists, Prof Rasik Vajpayee, is now consulting at Vision Eye Institute Camberwell on Thursdays.

Prof Vajpayee’s main areas of expertise are cataract and corneal surgeries and he previously served as Head of Cornea and Cataract Surgery at the University of Melbourne. He has significant expertise in performing laser cataract surgery and complex cataract surgery for patients with co-occurring eye conditions that can cause complications.

Prof Vajpayee also specialises in the treatment of corneal conditions, including corneal surgery and corneal transplantations. He has a particular interest in keratoconus, Fuchs’ dystrophy and pterygium (Surfer’s Eye). In addition, Prof Vajpayee performs laser eye surgery for vision correction.

He also consults at Vision Eye Institute’s Blackburn South, Coburg and Melbourne (St Kilda Rd) clinics.
