Dr Christopher Go is a subspecialised vitreoretinal ophthalmologist with extensive experience in the medical and surgical management of retinal and macular disorders. He offers care for conditions including epiretinal membrane, macular holes and macular degeneration, as well as retinal vein occlusions, retinal detachment, diabetic eye disease and floaters.

Having completed four rigorous clinical retinal fellowships in Liverpool UK, Hong Kong, Melbourne and Taiwan, Dr Go is a skilled surgeon with internationally accredited expertise in complex vitreoretinal and cataract cases.

Dr Go has performed over 500 vitreoretinal procedures including scleral buckles and vitrectomies as well as over 1,000 cataract surgeries. He has experience with a wide range of premium intraocular lenses (IOLs) and also offers intricate cataract surgeries such as sutureless scleral-fixated IOLs.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Go is dedicated to research and the education and training of future doctors. He is an examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO), Adjunct Associate Lecturer at the University of New South Wales and Conjoint Clinical Lecturer at Sydney University.

Dr Go is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Dr Go enjoys jogging, tennis, cooking and spending quality time with his daughter and young family. In his spare time, he is an avid traveller.

Research & publications

To complement his clinical care, Dr Go is committed to contributing to ophthalmic scientific advancements and research. He has an extensive portfolio of research papers and presentations published in some of the top international ophthalmology journals.

He is also an invited reviewer with several international peer-reviewed journals including the esteemed American Journal of Ophthalmology Case Reports (AJOCR) and has presented at numerous international conferences including the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) Congress 2024 and Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Congress 2024.
