North Queensland Day Surgery is an accredited, purpose-built facility for ophthalmic surgery. The site houses the laser suite for laser eye surgery (LASIK, ASLA/PRK) and the day surgery for lens procedures (refractive lens exchange) and cataract surgery. Both the laser suite and day surgery are fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and technology to support the latest surgical techniques, optimise patient outcomes and ensure patient comfort at all times.

All Vision Eye Institute day surgeries are accredited against ISO 9001 and National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards, with an on-site Director of Nursing to lead the clinical support team.
