Led by respected ophthalmologist Dr Lee Lenton and his highly experienced clinical team, our Brisbane practice provides a range of eye care services. Our clinical team includes optometrists and ophthalmic technicians and, together with Dr Lenton, they pride themselves on delivering quality care to all patients. Members of our team are fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Swahili and Luganda.
Dr Lenton was one of the first people in Australia to perform laser eye surgery and now has over 20 years of experience in vision correction procedures. Our clinic also offers bulk-billed surgery for patients with cataracts, meaning that there are no out-of-pocket costs. Other eye care services include ongoing glaucoma management, eyelid procedures, pterygium surgery and general ophthalmic care.
Ask if the quoted price includes initial consultation, your procedure, medications, 6 months post-operative care and any enhancements (if needed) within a 2-year period. Ours does – there are no ‘hidden fees’ at Vision Eye Institute Brisbane.
Located in the recently refurbished RiverCity Private Hospital, our clinic is equipped with the latest advances in ophthalmic technology, along with spacious waiting areas and modern patient amenities. Specialist diagnostic equipment complements our state-of-the-art laser technology to ensure that each patient receives a customised outcome for optimal results. Day surgeries are performed on-site for patient convenience and continuity of care.
We offer a wide range of eye care and treatments for many different eye conditions, including those described below.
With the advancements in technology, we can now help the majority of people who wear glasses with some form of vision correction procedure – even if you’ve previously been told you don’t qualify. Dr Lenton is a vision correction specialist and has performed over 15,000 LASIK procedures. He also has expertise in ASLA, refractive lens exchange and implantable lenses.
At the initial consultation, we’ll carefully check your eyes to determine if you are suitable for vision correction and, if so, which procedure is most appropriate for you. As with any surgery, there are benefits and risks and Dr Lenton will discuss these with you.
Vision correction procedures are performed on-site in RiverCity Private Hospital.
During cataract surgery, the cloudy lens of the eye is replaced with an artificial one. With significant experience using the latest lens technology, Dr Lenton is well placed to help you decide on the option that best suits your vision and lifestyle needs. Cataract surgery is performed as a day surgery procedure in RiverCity Private Hospital.
